About This Site
I grew up in Attleboro, Massachusetts spending most of my childhood playing baseball, riding BMX bikes, and keeping quiet. Started making `zines in 1986, which I continued to do until recently (on the web, though). Graduated from Bishop Feehan High School in `89, and UMass-Dartmouth (originally SMU) in `93 with a degree in accounting.
Two years of an accounting career was enough for me, and I've been lucky since then: moved into book publishing for a while, then got my first web design job with CMGI portal site Planet Direct (later MyWay.com) in `97. Enjoyed the internet rise and fall, spent the next eight years with Groove Networks and ChoiceStream, and since July 2008 have been doing design and UI consulting work. During this time, I moved from Attleboro to Woburn to Newton to Tewksbury, and am now living with my wife, daughter and son in Bridgewater.
The main parts of this site are:
- Ramblings
Every couple days (or weeks) I'll add something I find interesting — site updates, links, sites I want to remember to re-visit, etc. — to the Ramblings section. Topics are usually about design, photography, music, Red Sox, bikes, Apple, and stuff only my family & friends would find marginally interesting.
- Photos
I love taking photos, even though I don't do it enough. The photos section is a sampling some of my "work"...though lately I've been moving more and more of my photos to my Flickr account.
